FACS Eligibility Criteria Changes
What to do if Derby City Council says you are ineligible for services

Have your needs been assessed as 'moderate'?
If you have had a FACS (Fairer Access to Care Services) assessment and you have been assessed as having 'moderate' needs you may have been informed by letter by Derby City Council that it will not fund some or all of your existing services.
Along with the letter from Derby City Council informing you of the outcome of the assessment you should have received a letter explaining what to do if you want to make an appeal against the decision.
If you have a learning disability and you want to make an appeal against the decision by Derby City Council and you would like the support of an independent learning disability advocate, then please contact Derbyshire Advocacy Service on 01332 206505.
You, your parent or carer, friend or supporter can call Derbyshire Advocacy service if you want to make an appeal against the decision not to fund some or all of your services because your needs have been assessed as 'moderate'. |
